Optimal Health

When we talk about Nutrition and Wellness then what comes to mind. Well i would say first of all it would include optimal health.

Now what is Optimal Health?
You can say having Good Sleep, A Balanced Diet, Peace of Mind, Enough Rest from time to time etc.
Is all of this possible in our daily lives especially in India. We skip our meals to reach our work on time, day to day running around from work place to workplace, and even after all that we still need to find time to spend with our family. Do you know why I highlighted the word "time" in my earlier sentence, well that's because time is something that we need the most to do what needs to be done to have Optimal Health.
To understand a little more about Optimal Health there are four important pillars of health that need be taken under consideration.
Pillars Of Health:-

1) Exercise
2) Positive Attitude
3) Adequate Rest
4) Nutrition

What do we understand when we observe these pillars, Well first of all that they all are important to maintain Optimal Health.

We do less exercise when we have a lot of work. Because of certain situations and problem we tend to have a negative attitude towards life which in turn affects your health in a big way i.e. You tend to eat less you are almost never in a good mood you feel sad about almost anything which is not good for the mind or the body.

We do a lot of work day in and day out just to earn a decent living and to do that work we sacrifice our much needed rest from time to time. You may be able to do all your work throughout the day without any rest but you can do that same work even faster and better if you get adequate rest. Rest is not only good for the body but also the mind. So far we know about how exercise, a positive attitude and adequate rest play a part in our  health, But there is something among all which is important which is nutrition.

Nutrition is something that almost all of us lack in somewhere or the other. Nutrition is what the body needs to grow to develop its functions or even to repair our injuries. It can increase our brain power which in todays world is very necessary.
Lets have a look at how much we need food we need take daily to get all the necessary nutrition for our body and mind.

1) Carbohydrates : 6-11 servings
2) Vitamin and minerals : 3-5 servings each
3) Protein : 2-3 servings
4) Essential Fats : 1-2 servings

This is what we call a Balanced Nutrition that we need daily.
Now just think about it how confident are you that you take the right amount of nutrition daily to fuel your body and mind. Well a normal everyday man would never be able to be confident about that especially in India.
